Social activist, Monica Singh, resident of Delhi, is on a mission to save the country and the world from the misery occurring due to a disease that is known in medical parlance as the Narcissistic Personality Mental Disorder(NPD) that has remained unattended for decades.

Monica Singh through her organisation God and Mahatma Gandhi mission is in Mussoorie to create awareness through the message of Vasudhaiva Kutambakam (World is one family) towards this disease which is causing immense suffering due to emotional abuse and death of the victims of NPD predators.

Monica said that this problem has become an epidemic and needs to be addressed at the highest level of the honest people in Government of India. She tried to approach Prime Minister Narendra Modi whom she considers an honest and sincere leader capable of bringing about a major change and restoring peace and  harmony in the lives of the people thus reducing and altogether eliminating the crime occurring in society.

She submitted a letter on 18th September 2017 via PMO to seek an appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inform him about NPD but has not received any response yet, and she feels that people around the prime minister are not interested in resolving this problem  which is evident from the fact that he has not been informed about the letter.

Monica Singh said that Narendra Modi is an honest person who is trying to bring in a sea change in society through his endeavours and a world leader like him  can  make a difference in highlighting the problems faced by this disease in the society.

And all efforts of development in the country being made by our government will be of use only when this problem of NPD and other such problems causing pain in society are addressed at every level soon.

She said that the Nirbhaya and Nithari killings are prime examples of the kind of menace this disease has become in society.

She said that Mahatma Gandhi was the first to raise the issue in public but since then no action has been initiated by any successive government.

Monica Singh said that she has high regard for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and supports his programs including Mann ki Baat on the radio which is very encouraging and inspiring. She said that the Prime Minister in one of the Mann Ki Baat radio programs already pointed out the prevalence of Ahankaar (egoism) in society which is nothing but the Narcissistic Personality Disorder. However more needs to be done in this regard in order to create a harmonious society.

Monica Singh is of the view that the sooner this problem is tackled the better it would be for society otherwise the country and the world is bound to head towards anarchy.

Monica Singh said that the Narcissistic Personality Disorder is a disease where individuals with this disorder exhibit a lack of ability to empathize with others and have an inflated sense of self-importance.

The people suffering from Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) are known for lack of empathy for others even the nearest of kin and are searching for constant admiration. People with this condition are frequently described as arrogant, self-centered, manipulative, unreasonable, inconsistent, perverse, boastful, abusive, tyrannical, sadistic, cunning, ruthless and demanding.

These days the signs of the disorder are quite evident even in women cutting across all sections of society. Such NPD predators use, misuse, abuse, shout and yell angrily at others and cannot tolerate morality, and the love in them is missing. The worst part is that this disease is unnoticeable in public on the surface, often leading to crimes in the form of road rage, rapes, murders, terrorism, honour killings etc. NPD predators are wolves in sheep’s clothing, hence this problem needs to be addressed and tackled as soon as possible, says Monica Singh.

People with Narcissistic Personality Disorder believe they are superior or special, and often try to associate with other people they believe are unique or gifted in some way. Individuals with Narcissistic Personality Disorder have difficulty tolerating criticism or defeat and may be left feeling humiliated or empty when they experience an "injury" in the form of criticism or rejection. The people suffering from this disease take advantage of others to reach their own goals, and the NPD predators disregard the feelings of others and instead believe other people are envious of them.

It is said that 50 to 75 percent of the people diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder are male, but the percentage of females suffering from NPD has risen drastically in the past couple of decades. Additionally, it is common for many adolescents to display the characteristics listed above; this does not necessarily indicate that they will later develop narcissistic personality disorder.

Monica Singh believes that the problem of NPD can be resolved by placing the NPD predators in reformation centres where teaching of Dharma and inter-faith dialogues are conducted on the lines of Vasudhaiva Kutmbakam.

She demanded that Shri Narendra Modi investigate the matter and help in forming reformation centres in order to rescue captives of NPD predators from their clutches, round up the perpetrators and put them in these reformation centres to educate them in Dharma and Morality, make amendments in law and policies to address this kind of mental behavior that has become a menace for the society.

Monica  said that she is ready to reach out to the people and is open to people contacting her on her mobile number 9811127350 to share their difficulties and problems.
