Jaipur, 31st July. A 17-year-old kanwariya was killed and two of his associates were critically injured when a speeding truck rammed into their motorcycle early Wednesday, sparking protests that blocked the Delhi-Jaipur highway.
The incident occurred around 2:50 am when the kanwar, identified as Hemant, was en route to Kotputli in Rajasthan. Following the accident, kanwariyas staged a protest and blocked both sides of the highway.
Senior police officers interacted with the protesters, leading to the reopening of the road. A senior police officer stated that an FIR has been registered against the truck driver, who fled the scene.
