3.3-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh

Tawang, 22nd July. An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 on the Richter scale struck Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday morning, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).

The earthquake struck at 6:56 a.m. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 5 kilometres, according to the NCS.

“Earthquake of Magnitude:3.3, Occurred on 22-07-2023, 06:56:08 IST, Lat: 27.44 & Long: 92.51, Depth: 5 Km, Location: Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, India,” the NCS tweeted.

Earlier in the day, three earthquakes were felt in Rajasthan’s Jaipur within a half-hour period. The latest earthquake, measuring magnitude 3.4, struck about 4.25 a.m., according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). It occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres, according to the NCS.

The first quake, with a magnitude of 4.4, was felt at 4.09 a.m. at a depth of 10 kilometres, and the second, with a magnitude of 3.1, was felt at 4.22 a.m. at a depth of 5 kilometres.
