New Delhi, 14th April. On Bhim Rao Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the social reformer, economist, jurist, and architect of India’s Constitution.
Modi tweeted an audio clip of his earlier remarks on Ambedkar’s life, saying, “He dedicated his life to the empowerment of the deprived and exploited sections of society.”
Ambedkar, who was born in 1891 to a Dalit family in Maharashtra, rose from humble beginnings to become a leading voice of the marginalised people during the freedom struggle and is credited with introducing several social reforms.
