New Delhi, 30th Dec.
The Congress and Aam Aadmi Party have both called for action to be taken against the organizers of the Sunburn EDM festival in Goa, claiming that they have insulted Lord Shiva.

Congress leader Vijay Bhike filed a police complaint against the organizers, while AAP Goa chief Amit Palekar stated that the state government should also take action for hurting “Sanatan Dharma”.

The festival, which is a popular electronic dance music event, began on December 28 and will end on December 30.

Palekar expressed concern over the use of Lord Shankar’s image during the festival, particularly when people were intoxicated and dancing. He demanded that the government take action to protect the sanctity of Sanatan Dharma.

Bhike’s complaint accused the organizers of intentionally insulting Hindu religious beliefs by suggesting that Lord Shiva supports alcohol consumption and other illicit activities that occur during the festival.

The police have acknowledged the complaint and are investigating the matter.
