New Delhi, 29th July. Security has been increased in the Old Rajinder Nagar area amid protest by civil service aspirants demanding justice for three students who died due to flooding in their institute’s basement after heavy rains.

The protestors have gathered outside Rau’s IAS Study Circle, where the incident occurred on Saturday. The victims lost their lives when the basement of the institute was inundated following the recent downpour.

On Sunday, the protest escalated as students blocked both carriageways of Pusa Road near Karol Bagh Metro Station, causing major disruptions.

A senior police officer stated, “We have deployed paramilitary forces and police in the area to maintain law and order. We request all to maintain peace. The Pusa Road is a crucial route with several hospitals nearby. We have barricaded the area and added additional forces to ensure that the protest does not disrupt the public.”

Authorities are working to manage the situation and ensure that the protest does not lead to further disturbances.
