New Delhi, 15th Aug: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday shared an article written by Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan, highlighting the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters and calling upon citizens to work collectively towards building a Viksit Bharat by 2047.

Sharing the article on the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day, the Prime Minister noted that the Vice President had recalled his visit to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, where he remembered the sacrifices made by freedom fighters from different parts of the country.

The Prime Minister said the article also carries a call to dedicate the Amrit Kaal to the task of building a developed India by 2047 and to work together for the nation’s progress and prosperity.

In a post on X, Modi wrote that as India celebrates its 80th Independence Day, Vice President Radhakrishnan recalled his visit to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the sacrifices of freedom fighters from across the country.

The Prime Minister further highlighted the Vice President’s appeal to citizens to dedicate themselves to the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047 and contribute collectively to the country’s development and prosperity.
