Himachal Raj Bhavan Secretariat Work Will Be Online Now

Shimla, 23rd Oct. The scanning of about 82,000 papers has gone online in the Himachal Pradesh Governor’s Secretariat, it was announced on Friday. This will save 190 paper rims annually.

As per the instructions of Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, the work of the Secretariat has been made online. The Governor congratulated his Secretary Priyatu Mandal on the completion of the project and commencement of work at Raj Bhavan.

While appraising the Governor about the e-office software, Mandal said that the work of implementation will bring transparency along with speed and will also save time.

A Raj Bhavan spokesperson said the work on the e-office started in August and was completed on October 22. Around 500 files have been scanned and made online. An E-Office application has been implemented to automate file work across departments.

The spokesperson said that the e-files can be easily traced and retrieved and will be acted upon immediately.

They can also link and refer relevant files, documents, judgments and judgments, he added. This will facilitate decision making, as all the necessary information will be available at a single point.
