New Delhi, 29th Oct. Amidst the fear of the third wave of coronavirus, the government will run the ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ vaccination campaign from November 2 to ensure that no citizen in India misses the vaccination. Under this campaign, people above 18 years of age who have missed the vaccination or who have not received the second dose will be given corona vaccine at their home.

In view of the increasing figures of Corona in the festive season, the central government has taken this decision. The government says that through this campaign, those people will be able to be vaccinated who have not yet administered the first dose or the second dose.

According to government data, more than 11 crore people who have taken the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine have not been given the second dose even after the stipulated interval between two doses. Statistics show that more than 3.92 crore beneficiaries have not taken the second dose for more than six weeks.

Similarly, around 1.57 crore people have taken their second dose of Covishield or Covaxin by four to six weeks late and over 15 crore two to four weeks late. All such people will get the vaccine at their doorstep so that vaccination coverage can be done faster.
