Pramod Sawant Takes Oath as Chief Minister of Goa

Panaji, 28th March. Pramod Sawant took oath as the Chief Minister of Goa for the second consecutive term on Monday at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President JP Nadda, Haryana CM ML Khattar and Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai also graced the occasion.

Vishwajeet Rane, Ravi Naik, Mauvin Godinho, Subhash Shirodkar, Nilesh Cabral, Subhash Shirodkar, Atanasio Monserrate, Rohan Khaunte, and Govind Gaude also took oath as Ministers on Monday.

In the recently concluded Goa Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party emerged as the single largest party in Goa, winning 20 seats in the 40-member state Assembly while Congress came a distant second with 11 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party has bagged the support of the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) and independent candidates.
