New Delhi, 29th July. According to Union Health Ministry data updated on Friday, India recorded 20,409 new coronavirus infections, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 4,39,79,730, while active cases fell to 1,43,988.
The death toll has risen to 5,26,258 with 32 new fatalities, according to data updated at 8 a.m.
According to the ministry, active cases account for 0.33 percent of total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate is 98.48 percent.
In the last 24 hours, the active COVID-19 caseload has decreased by 2,335 cases.
According to the ministry, the daily positivity rate was 5.12 percent and the weekly positivity rate was 4.82 percent.
The number of people who have recovered from the disease has risen to 4,33,09,484, with a case fatality rate of 1.20 percent.
So far, 203.60 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the country as part of the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive, according to the ministry.
