Tamil Nadu CM Stalin Calls on PM Modi, Discusses Key State Issues

New Delhi, 18th August. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday and discussed state-specific development issues with him.

Stalin paid a courtesy call on President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar and described the meeting as satisfactory. Stalin said on Twitter that he visited Modi and discussed key issues concerning Tamil Nadu’s development.

The Chief Minister thanked PM Modi for launching the 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad in Chennai. The Prime Minister praised Tamil Nadu for hosting the event in grand style and stated that it was a proud moment for India.

Stalin presented collections of traditional rice and millet varieties from Tamil Nadu to President Murmu, PM Modi, and VP Dhankar. It includes ‘Thinai’ and ‘Mappillai Samba’ (red rice) (foxtail millet).

He called Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi and inquired about her health. The president of the grand old party is in isolation after testing positive for COVID-19 again a few days ago.
