AAP Says The Centre Wants To “Kill” CM; LG and AAP Get Into A Bitter Argument About Kejriwal’s Blood Sugar Levels

New Delhi, 21st April. Over the sugar levels of incarcerated Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi LG have erupted into a new feud. To put it simply, the AAP has attacked the LG and claimed that the BJP-led Central government is preventing Kejriwal’s insulin from being administered by the Tihar jail officials.
The LG’s office responded by restating the Tihar jail authorities’ statement that insulin was not necessary at the current levels.
But the row is more complicated than that. Now, the AAP claims that Arvind Kejriwal is not receiving insulin because there is a “conspiracy” to kill him.
The party sent a letter to Tihar Jail’s DG. Then, on Saturday, the Director of AIIMS received a letter from Sanjay Beniwal, the DG of Tihar Jail, asking him to designate a Senior Endocrinologist/Diabetologist for Arvind Kejriwal.
AAP Responds To Letter From DG
Given these developments, the AAP criticized the Center on Sunday and posed concerns based on the letter. Up until now, it has been stated that all arrangements are made at Tihar Jail; nevertheless, the letter raises doubts about the specific arrangements that are in place.

What the Office of LG Said
A health report that the jail provided to Delhi LG VK Saxena on Friday was just made public by his office. According to the statement, the court was informed by the officials that the CM’s blood sugar levels were “not alarming” after his arrest on April 1 and that insulin delivery was not necessary “as of now”.
The CM “surreptitiously” sought treatment at a private facility in Telangana, according to the LG office memo, which also dubbed the CM’s actions “curious” and alluded to a possible connection to the “south Indian liquor cartel that played a key role in framing and execution of the excise policy of the AAP govt.”
According to media sources, Kejriwal had discontinued his “insulin reversal programme” well in advance of his detention (on March 21) after receiving advise from a private physician in Telangana. Nevertheless, TOI stated that the jail administration did not receive any associated documents.
On Thursday, the LG requested the DG (prisons) provide a “factual and comprehensive” report on the matter in a day. The Delhi CM was first prescribed a Metformin tablet for his diabetes, but oral medication was started by a doctor while he was in the ED because he had complained of a surge in his blood sugar levels, according to the article.

AAP’s Remarks Regarding Claims
The letter from the Thar prison authorities and the LG office sparked a strong response from the AAP, which denounced the “derogatory” language used by the LG office. In addition, the party claimed the BJP and LG were behind “a grand conspiracy to kill CM Arvind Kejriwal in custody since they cannot find any evidence against him in the alleged Delhi liquor scam.”

The Enforcement Directorate detained Kejriwal on March 21 in relation to a money-laundering investigation using the Delhi government’s since-canceled excise scheme. Since April 1, he has been detained at the Tihar jail.
