Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj gave priority only to the welfare of humanity till his last breath – Shri Amit Shah

New Delhi, 18th Feb. Shri Amit Shah, the Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, has expressed sorrow over the passing of the revered saint Param Pujya Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj, describing it as both a personal and irreversible loss for the nation and society.

Shri Amit Shah stated in a post on X that the loss of a great man such as Param Pujya Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj, the great saint, is irreversible for both the nation and society. He said that until his dying breath, Param Pujya Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj prioritized only the well-being of humanity.

The Union Home Minister expressed his gratitude for having such a wise man as a companion, friend, and source of blessings. He expressed that he personally mourns the passing of Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj, a genuine human devotee. Shri Shah went on to say that Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj never wavered in his selfless commitment to the welfare of the cosmos and each and every human being. In his capacities as an Acharya, Yogi, Thinker, Philosopher, and Social Worker, Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj led the community. On the outside, he appeared laid-back, straightforward, and gentle, but on the inside, he was a fierce seeker.

Shri Amit Shah stated that Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj demonstrated how cultural awareness and humanitarian service to humanity could coexist through his work in the fields of education, health, and the welfare of the underprivileged. For ages to come, the life of Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj will serve as a pole star, guiding the way for succeeding generations. Shri Shah said that he sends his sincere condolences to Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj’s entire following.
