Jammu, 26th July. Due to inclement weather, the Amarnath Yatra between Panchtarni and the cave has been halted, officials announced on Tuesday.
Heavy rain fell in the mountains surrounding the holy cave shrine this afternoon, raising the water level in a nearby stream, they said.
The pilgrims were rushed back to Panchtarni camp, officials said, adding that there have been no reports of loss of life, injuries, or property damage as a result of the rains.
