Nizamabad, 6th May.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah reassured the public on Sunday that reservations for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) would remain intact as long as there is even a single BJP MP in Parliament. Shah’s comments came in response to allegations by the Congress and others that BJP would end quotas if given a significant mandate in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls.

Addressing election rallies in Telangana’s Kagaznagar and Nizamabad, Shah dismissed the opposition’s claims as baseless, emphasizing that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has consistently upheld reservation policies. He highlighted Modi’s track record, noting that despite having a majority for the past decade, the government has not attempted to scrap reservations but instead focused on other key reforms.

Shah criticized the opposition for spreading misinformation and attempting to stoke fear among marginalized communities, particularly Dalits, Adivasis, and OBCs. He pledged that BJP would vigorously defend the rights of these communities and work to enhance their representation and opportunities.

Regarding recent controversies, Shah addressed allegations related to a doctored video circulated on social media, implicating him and others. He refuted the accusations and criticized Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for his involvement in forwarding the video. Shah assured supporters that legal action would be pursued to address these false allegations.

Shah also took aim at the opposition’s purported appeasement politics, accusing Congress and other parties of prioritizing vote banks over national interests. He criticized Congress for its stance on Muslim reservation and its alleged intention to run the country according to Muslim personal law.

In his impassioned speech, Shah contrasted the leadership styles of Modi and Rahul Gandhi, portraying Modi as a tireless worker committed to national development and Gandhi as lacking in dedication and vision.

Shah urged voters to support BJP candidates in the upcoming elections, expressing confidence in the party’s prospects in Telangana. He called on supporters to cast their votes decisively, ensuring a resounding victory for BJP.
