Hisar, 21st May.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a scathing assessment of the Congress party’s electoral prospects, predicting a dismal outcome for the grand old party in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. Speaking after a rally in Haryana’s Karnal, Shah maintained his offensive against the Congress during another public address in Hisar, where he rallied support for BJP candidate Ranjit Singh Chautala.

Shah asserted that the BJP, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, has already secured a majority of over 270 seats after four phases of polling. He confidently projected the party’s seat tally to exceed 400 after the remaining three phases, dismissing the Congress’s chances of even securing 40 seats.

Taking aim at Rahul Gandhi, Shah announced that post-June 4, the Congress leader would need to embark on a “Congress Dhundo Yatra,” as the party would be virtually invisible. This statement comes amidst the ongoing Lok Sabha polls, with results slated for June 4.

Shah juxtaposed the leadership qualities of Modi and Gandhi, highlighting Modi’s dedication and contrasting it with what he perceived as Gandhi’s penchant for vacations abroad. He drew attention to Modi’s relentless work ethic and contrasted it with Gandhi’s alleged detachment from the realities of Indian life.

The senior BJP leader launched a scathing critique of the previous Congress-led government, accusing it of incompetence and corruption. He lauded the Modi government’s proactive approach to national security, emphasizing its decisive actions in response to terrorist threats.

Shah also lambasted the Congress for spreading falsehoods, particularly regarding reservations and religious issues, while touting the BJP’s commitment to inclusive development and national security.

In his address, Shah praised Haryana’s contributions to the nation and highlighted the state’s economic growth and achievements under BJP governance. He accused the previous Congress regime of corruption and regional bias, contrasting it with the BJP’s focus on equitable development.
