Army Commanders Conference to Begin on Oct 16

New Delhi, 14th Oct. The Army Commanders’ Conference is set to take place from October 16th to October 20th, 2023 in New Delhi. This biannual event serves as a platform for high-level discussions and decision-making regarding important policies for the Indian Army.

In continuation of this year’s format, the upcoming conference will be conducted in a hybrid manner. On the first day, Army Commanders and other senior officials will meet virtually, followed by in-person discussions for the remainder of the conference.

The conference will be attended by Rajnath Singh, the Defence Minister, on October 18th, 2023.

General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff, General Manoj Pande, Chief of the Army Staff, and Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, Chief of the Air Staff, will also address the attendees.

Additionally, Dr Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, will deliver a talk on the topic of “Leveraging Technology for National Security.”

The conference will focus on discussing current and emerging security scenarios, as well as reviewing the operational readiness of the Indian Army.

Key subjects such as the ongoing transformation process, training matters, HR management, and issues affecting both serving personnel and veterans will also be explored.

The Army Commanders’ Conference plays a crucial role in ensuring that the Indian Army remains progressive, forward-looking, adaptable, and prepared for the future.
