New Delhi, 8th Dec.
All the Members of Parliament (MPs) from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who won the elections in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh have resigned from their positions.

According to sources, the Lok Sabha Housing Committee has issued a notice to all the BJP MPs who won the assembly elections, instructing them to vacate their government residences within 30 days.

Out of the eight MPs, three are ministers and receive housing allocations from the Urban Development Ministry.

It is important to note that the rules apply to all MPs, not just those from the opposition party, as some have alleged.

The MPs who have been given notice to vacate their houses within 30 days include Rakesh Singh, Arun Sao, Gomti Sai, Riti Pathak, Baba Balaknath, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Diya Kumari, and Uday Pratap Singh. During the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, the BJP fielded 21 MPs.

Out of these, 12 were successful in winning the legislative elections.

The MPs who won include Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Diya Kumari, and Kirori Lal Meena from Rajasthan; Baba Balaknath, Arun Sao, Renuka Singh, and Gomti Sai from Chhattisgarh; and Narendra Singh Tomar, Prahlad Singh Patel, Rakesh Singh, Uday Pratap, and others from Madhya Pradesh.

Riti Pathak is also included in this list.

In the Lutyens Zone of Delhi, government bungalows ranging from Type 6 to Type 8 are allocated to MPs, Union Ministers, and State Ministers.

The type of bungalow assigned to an MP depends on their seniority. If MPs resign, they must vacate these bungalows within 30 days of receiving the notice.

However, even after the 30-day notice period, the person can continue to stay in the bungalow for a certain period by paying rent at market price.
