Agra, 26th August. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has called for national unity, drawing a stark parallel with the situation in neighboring Bangladesh.

Speaking at a rally in Agra today, Adityanath emphasized the critical importance of staying united, declaring, “Batenge toh katenge (If we are divided, we will be destroyed). The nation will be empowered only when we stay united.”

Addressing a gathering after unveiling a statue, the Chief Minister criticized the Opposition for what he termed as divisive politics. He accused them of prioritizing votebank politics over addressing the plight of Hindus in Bangladesh, particularly after Sheikh Hasina’s departure from the Prime Minister’s office.

“While the opposition is quick to speak out on global issues, it has remained conspicuously silent about the persecution of Hindus and the demolition of temples in Bangladesh,” Adityanath said.

Adityanath reiterated his commitment to unity, warning against those who seek to create divisions within society.

“We will work for unity and will not allow anyone to spread divisiveness, be it in the name of caste, region, language, or any other ground. We should be wary of such people and fulfill our duty as citizens,” he added.
