Bengal Governor Raises Security Concerns Over Kolkata Police Presence at Raj Bhavan

GG News Bureau
Kolkata, 20th June. West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose expressed apprehensions regarding his security due to the presence of the current contingent of Kolkata Police stationed at Raj Bhavan in Kolkata. This concern arose despite his recent directive for police personnel to vacate the premises, which has yet to be fully implemented.

“I have reasons to believe that the presence of the current officer-in-charge and his team is a threat to my personal security,” Bengal Governor Bose informed Press Trust of India. He further stated that despite informing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee about his insecurity with Kolkata Police at Raj Bhavan, no action has been taken.

Sources within the Governor House disclosed that Governor Bose has lodged complaints with the state government regarding alleged surveillance by police personnel, suggesting it may be at the behest of external “influencers.”
