What is the Sandeshkhali controversy?

Sandeshkhali, a village located in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, is witnessing huge protests these days. In fact, the women of the village had recently alleged that TMC leader Shahjahan Shaikh and other TMC leaders had taken over their lands and some women had also accused TMC leaders of sexual exploitation. Women protested in Sandeshkhali regarding this. BJP workers are also protesting in Sandeshkhali.
