Bharat Tex: India’s Largest Global Textile Event Set to Begin

Rachna Shah, Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles, announced today in New Delhi that Bharat Tex, poised to be India’s largest global textile event, will commence on Monday, February 26.

Spanning four days and inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the event boasts participation from over 100 countries, with more than 3,500 exhibitors and 3,000 buyers expected to attend.

Organized by a consortium of 11 Textile Export Promotion Councils and supported by the Ministry of Textiles, Bharat Tex emphasizes trade, investment, sustainability, and resilient supply chains. With exhibitions across two venues covering nearly 22 lakh sq ft, the event showcases the entire textile value chain, positioning India as a global textile powerhouse.

Aligned with Prime Minister Modi’s 5F Vision, Bharat Tex focuses on the Farm to Fashion journey, showcasing apparel, home furnishings, textiles, handicrafts, and more. Highlights include fashion shows, art demonstrations, fabric testing zones, and discussions on sustainability and resilient value chains.

Leading global textile companies and delegations from key textile hubs are confirmed participants, making Bharat Tex a collaborative effort across the entire textile value chain, including export promotion councils, industry bodies, and major textiles states in India.
