Bharat’s Transportation Infrastructure: A Continuous Expansion

GG News Bureau
New Delhi, 5th April.
The central government has earmarked an enormous sum of Rs 17,000 crore for one of its showpiece projects ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Bharat’s transportation infrastructure is constantly being expanded and new road projects are being undertaken by the central government. Many highways are currently being built to greatly improve commuting. Different sections of the Frontier Highway in Arunachal Pradesh will be developed as part of the plan. The 1,700-kilometer highway, also known as NH-913, travels through the state’s most sparsely populated regions. Along the border between China and Bharat, it will have new bridges and tunnels. In addition, there will be an 800 km greenfield stretch of the roadway. Following construction, it is anticipated that these highway segments would improve connectivity to nearby areas.

Starting at Bomdila, the highway will travel past communities including Huri, Nafra, and Monigong until coming to a conclusion in Vijayanagar, close to the border between Bharat and Myanmar.

By 2027, the highway is anticipated to be finished, connecting important cities such Mechuka, Tawang, Kibithoo, Tuting, and Dong.

Bharat’s expressways

Bharat is a developing nation, and this includes its road system. The nation boasts the third-largest global road network. China and the United States of America are ranked 1 and second, respectively. Bharat’s road network is expanding at an incredible rate, and it may soon surpass both China and the United States to take the top spot. Bharat’s national roads, highways, overpasses, and expressways link all of the country’s main cities to even the tiniest towns. Along the future highways and expressways, the government will supply all the facilities, including police and ambulance services, CCTV surveillance, SOS booths, and speed measuring. Bharat may soon employ Internet of Things (IoT) technology to improve the safety and convenience of road travel. Big data and artificial intelligence (AI) will improve driving safety and efficiency.

Expressways are different from highways, having six or eight lanes, while highways have four lanes. This is how they differ from one other. Another distinction is that automobiles can only enter expressways from designated areas due to controlled traffic. On the other hand, a number of roads intersect with highways at different places.

Bharat is concentrating on becoming a world-class nation today. Its future expressways will reflect that as well. Here are Bharat’s top 13 upcoming expressways with details on their when, where, and how.
