Bihar: Journalist Hospitalized After Being Shot in Maharajganj

Patna, 8th Jan. A journalist was severely injured in a shooting incident in Maharajganj, Bihar’s Siwan district on Saturday.

Two miscreants fired bullets at journalist Rajesh Anal’s waist and left thigh.

He was later admitted to Siwan Sadar Hospital, where his condition is still critical, according to doctors.

Superintendent of Police Shailesh Kumar Sinha responded quickly to the incident after receiving information.

“We are investigating the case. Whoever is involved in it will be arrested soon,” Sinha said.

Rajesh was returning home after closing his shop at K Mohan Bazar in Maharajganj, Siwan district, when the incident occurred.

Two criminals on a motorcycle overtook him and fled after firing; he was then taken to the hospital by locals.

Notably, Rajesh Anal was attacked for the second time.

Earlier in 2017, the criminals fatally stabbed journalist Rajesh Anal during Maharajganj’s famous Moniya Baba Mela.

Meanwhile, there has been quite a stir in the surrounding area as a result of this incident.

An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
