New Delhi, 29th April.
Rajiv Pratap Rudy, the former Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for Bihar’s Saran Lok Sabha seat, has launched a scathing attack on RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, alleging that he is using his daughter, Rohini Acharya, as a political “mask” in the upcoming elections.

Rudy asserted that Lalu Prasad Yadav is ineligible to contest elections and is consequently using his daughter’s candidacy as a front.
“Lalu Prasad Yadav cannot contest the election… Hence, he is using Rohini Acharya as a mask,” Rudy stated.

The BJP MP further criticized Acharya for derogatory remarks directed towards him and the BJP’s state president, Samrat Choudhary.

“Rohini Acharya sometimes calls me a fool and makes indecent remarks about our (BJP) state president Samrat Choudhary. The people of Saran sent me to Parliament for two consecutive terms, were they fools? Is Rohini trying to say this?” Rudy questioned.

The Saran Lok Sabha constituency, where polling is scheduled for the fifth phase on May 20, witnesses a fierce electoral battle between Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Rohini Acharya, the daughter of former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad.

Despite Lalu Prasad’s absence from active campaigning due to health concerns, he recently appeared alongside his wife, former CM Rabri Devi, to extend support to his daughter’s electoral bid.

Meanwhile, Rudy remains engaged in an extensive door-to-door election campaign to rally support for his candidacy.
