BJP Delegation Hands Over Memorandum to HLC on One Nation One Election

Ram Nath Kovind, Chairman of the High Level Committee (HLC) on One Nation One Election, along with its members N. K. Singh and Shri Sanjay Kothari, continued their series of interactions with various political parties to delve into the matter of holding simultaneous elections across the nation and to formulate recommendations accordingly.

In this ongoing process, a delegation representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) met with the HLC. Led by Shri J.P. Nadda, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, and President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the delegation also included Shri Bhupender Yadav, Union Cabinet Minister of Labour and Employment, Forest and Climate Change, and National General Secretary of the BJP, as well as Shri Om Pathak, National Executive of the BJP.

During the meeting, the BJP delegation presented a written memorandum to the HLC, outlining their perspective on the issue at hand. Subsequently, the members engaged in a comprehensive discussion with the HLC, expressing their party’s firm support for the concept of One Nation, One Election.

The interactions between the HLC and the BJP delegation signify a crucial step in the ongoing dialogue surrounding the synchronization of electoral processes across the country, addressing key concerns and exploring potential avenues for reform in India’s democratic framework.
