Haridwar, 26th June.
Aditya Raj Saini, a BJP leader from Uttarakhand, has been expelled from the party and removed from his post as a nominated member of the Other Backward Classes Commission following his arrest in connection with the rape and murder of a 13-year-old girl in Haridwar.

The incident came to light after the girl’s family accused Saini of rape and murder. Her body was discovered near the Patanjali Research Centre in the Bahadrabad area, days after she went missing. The girl’s mother alleged that Saini and an accomplice had gang-raped and murdered her daughter.

According to the complaint filed by the mother, Saini had initially claimed the girl was with him when the family tried to contact her. Subsequently, he threatened the mother when she intended to approach the police after failing to find her daughter at Saini’s residence.

Local police officer Pramendra Dobhal confirmed that both Saini and his accomplice have been charged under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. He also stated that five police teams have been deployed to investigate the case.

The expulsion from BJP and removal from the OBC Commission post follow serious allegations and legal action against Saini, marking a significant development in the ongoing investigation.
