The BJP has urged the Election Commission to take strict action against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly saying that the Modi government has created divisions among soldiers based on their socio-economic backgrounds.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, along with Union ministers Arjun Ram Meghwal and Rajeev Chandrasekhar, lodged a complaint with the Election Commission, describing Gandhi’s remarks as a serious attack on the armed forces and national security.

The BJP delegation emphasized the need for stringent action against Gandhi and called for a retraction of his comments, asserting that such attacks on soldiers are “very dangerous” for the country.
