Shivpuri, 4th April.
Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union minister and BJP candidate from Guna, asserted on Wednesday that the Congress party has become “behosh” (unconscious) due to the “josh” (passion) of BJP workers.

Speaking at a gathering of BJP supporters in Khaniyadhana, Shivpuri district, within the Guna constituency, Scindia emphasized the need for sustained enthusiasm among party workers to achieve Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s target of winning over 400 Lok Sabha seats.

Encouraging party workers to engage with 370 new voters in each booth, Scindia envisioned a historic victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Drawing inspiration from his late grandmother, Vijayaraje Scindia, a revered BJP figure, he shared anecdotes about her campaigning methods, including carrying a ‘gamcha’ (cotton scarf) to combat heat, and his own practice of keeping an onion in his pocket, a traditional remedy believed to prevent heat stroke.

Scindia urged BJP workers to exert such efforts that Congress remains unconscious, highlighting the competitive electoral landscape in Guna, known for its significant Yadav voter base.

In the 2019 elections, Scindia, then a Congress candidate, suffered a defeat to the BJP’s Krishna Pal Singh Yadav by over 1.25 lakh votes.

Scindia’s defection to the BJP in 2020 has further intensified the political rivalry in the region.
