BSP Chief Mayawati Compares Chhattisgarh Incident with Lakhimpur Incident, Demands Strict Action Against Culprits

Lucknow, 16th Oct. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati said that she is deeply saddened by the incident of trampling a mob with a vehicle in Chhattisgarh on Friday. She compared this incident to the Lakhimpur Kheri incident and also demanded strict action against the culprits.

She said that the incident of death of one person and injuries to many people in Chhattisgarh during Durga Visarjan is very sad, which is reminiscent of the Lakhimpur Kheri incident. The Congress government should give financial help and jobs to the families of the victims and take strict action against the culprits.

She further said that the brutal murder of a Dalit youth of Punjab on the Delhi Singhu Border is very sad and shameful. Taking the incident seriously, the police should take strict action against the culprits and like Lakhimpur Kheri, Punjab CM should also give 50 lakh rupees to the victim’s family and government job, this is the demand of BSP.

Let us tell you that in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh, a car ran over some people going for Durga immersion. One died and more than a dozen people were injured in the accident. The condition of two of the injured is said to be serious. After the accident, the mob chased and stopped the car and thrashed the driver.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote on Twitter that the death in the accident of people being crushed by an uncontrolled vehicle on a religious procession in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh is very sad. The Government of Chhattisgarh is expected to make arrangements for proper treatment of the injured and provide all possible help to the victims.
