Bus Plunges into Gorge in Ladakh: Six Dead, 22 Injured

Leh, 22nd August. A private bus traveling from Leh to Eastern Ladakh plunged into a 200-meter-deep gorge on Thursday, resulting in six fatalities and 22 injuries. The injured passengers have been admitted to District Hospital SNM in Leh, with several in critical condition, according to police officials.

The incident was reported promptly, and a team of police officials quickly arrived at the scene. The injured have been transported to District Hospital SNM in Leh, where some are in critical condition.

Deputy Commissioner of Leh, Santosh Sukadeva, confirmed the casualties and injuries, stating, “Six passengers died and 22 others were injured when a private bus fell into a 200-meter deep gorge. The injured have been shifted to District Hospital SNM Leh, with some in critical condition. Further details are awaited.”
