Kolkata, 29th Nov.
Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah asserted at a rally in Kolkata that the Central government will definitely implement the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and no one can stop it.

During the rally, Shah slammed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on various issues such as appeasement, infiltration, corruption, and political violence.

He urged the people to remove her government and elect the BJP in the upcoming assembly polls.

Shah praised the large turnout at the rally, claiming that it reflects the people’s sentiment and predicted that the BJP will win with a two-thirds majority in the state in 2026.

He also emphasized that the BJP’s performance in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls will lay the foundation for their victory in the assembly polls.
Regarding the CAA, Shah mentioned that Mamata Banerjee opposes it, but its implementation cannot be stopped.

He highlighted that the law aims to provide citizenship rights to the intended beneficiaries, just like anyone else. The rally took place at the historic Esplanade and aimed to set the tone for the BJP’s Lok Sabha campaign in the state, following their highest ever win of 18 seats out of 42 in 2019.
