Case Filed Against Police Officer for Misbehaviour with Kolkata Airport Staff Over Luggage

Kolkata, 20th Nov. A senior police officer has been accused of causing a disturbance at Kolkata airport when asked to pay for extra luggage he wanted to bring on a flight.

The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon and the officer, identified as Anirban Ray, has been booked under several sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Ray, who is currently serving as the Additional Director-General (Provisioning) with the West Bengal Police, was supposed to travel to Delhi from Kolkata airport. According to the complaint, he behaved inappropriately towards airport staff after being asked to pay for excess luggage. He was not allowed to board the flight and was escorted out of the airport.

An FIR has been filed against him and an investigation is underway.
