Central Schemes Facilitate Grassroots Development: Bharati Pawar

Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar said that central schemes enable development at the grassroots level.

The Minister was inaugurating the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra event at Chenkal, Parassala in Thiruvananthapuram.

The Minister said that women empowerment, tribal welfare, public health, and infrastructure development are the top priorities of the Central Government.

Dr. Pawar also said that Mahila Kisan Drone Kendra scheme launched by the Union Government promotes women empowerment. 15,000 drones will be distributed to women self-help groups all over the country as part of the scheme.

The Minister mentioned that 27.61 crore Ayushman Bharat cards have been distributed till date. Rs 77,298 crore have also been disbursed to six crore people through this scheme and 26,735 hospitals have been covered.

She also said that for proper implementation of central schemes in Kerala, the state should cooperate more with the central government.
Prime Minister’s interaction with the beneficiaries of central welfare schemes was also streamed live at the event.

Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar also inaugurated the drone allotted to the women self-help group in Chenkal village for agricultural purposes and distributed central assistance to beneficiaries.

A Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra IEC van also reached Chenkal village.

Beneficiaries of various schemes shared their experiences. Parvathy IIS, Joint Director, CBC Thiruvananthapuram, KS Pradeep, DGM, Canara Bank, Jayamohan, Manager, District Lead Bank, Prabhakar Reddy, AGM, Bank of Baroda, Shruti, Manager, Bank of Baroda among others were also present.
