CJI Chandrachud Inaugurates Ayush Holistic Wellness Centre at Supreme Court Premises

 Chief Justice of India, Justice DY Chandrachud, inaugurated the ‘Ayush Holistic Wellness Centre’ within the premises of the Supreme Court of India on Thursday.

The inauguration ceremony, graced by Companion Judges of the Supreme Court, witnessed the esteemed presence of Minister of Ayush and Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, and Minister of State for Ayush, Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai.

A pivotal moment during the ceremony was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Supreme Court and the All-India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), outlining the establishment, operationalization, and provision of expert services at the Ayush Holistic Wellness Centre.

Expressing his gratification at the inauguration, Chief Justice Chandrachud emphasized his longstanding advocacy for Ayurveda and holistic lifestyles. He underscored the importance of holistic wellness not only for the judges and their families but also for the Supreme Court staff, totaling over 2000 individuals. Justice Chandrachud extended his gratitude to the doctors of the All India Institute of Ayurveda for their contributions.

The event was attended by Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Director Secretary, and other senior officers of the Ministry of Ayush, as well as Prof. Tanuja Nesari, Director of the All India Institute of Ayurveda.

The Ayush Holistic Wellness Centre at the Supreme Court premises stands as a modern facility dedicated to providing holistic care, addressing physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It aims to promote the overall health of judges and staff members of the Supreme Court of India.

The establishment of this facility is a collaborative effort between the Supreme Court and the All India Institute of Ayurveda under the Ministry of Ayush.
