Commercial LPG Prices Rise From October 1

19-kg cylinders costlier by up to ₹71.50 across cities; domestic LPG rates remain unchanged

New Delhi, 1st Oct: Prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders have increased from October 1, with the hike varying across cities. The revision comes at the start of the festive season and is set to raise cooking-fuel costs for restaurants, hotels, caterers and other commercial users.

In Delhi, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has increased by ₹62.50, from ₹2,747.50 in September to ₹2,810. In Mumbai, the cylinder is now priced at ₹2,764, while Chennai has seen the rate rise to ₹2,983.

Patna recorded the highest increase among the cities cited, with the price rising by ₹71.50 to ₹3,100.50. In Lucknow, the new rate is ₹2,932.50. Other revised prices include ₹2,954 in Kolkata, ₹2,898 in Bengaluru and ₹3,065 in Hyderabad.

The latest revision affects commercial consumers using 19-kg cylinders, including restaurants, hotels and other businesses. Domestic consumers have not been affected by this particular increase.

The price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder remains unchanged at ₹942 in Delhi, ₹941.50 in Mumbai and ₹957.50 in Chennai. In Lucknow, the domestic cylinder continues to cost ₹979.50, while the rate in Patna remains ₹1,031.50.

LPG prices are revised periodically and are influenced by international energy prices and currency movements. The latest commercial-cylinder increase comes as demand from food and hospitality businesses typically rises during the festive period.
