Conclusion of Nine-Day ‘Rajasthan Festival-2024’ Celebrated at Bikaner House

The nine-day extravaganza of Rajasthan Festival concluded today, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of Delhiites with its vibrant display of Rajasthani art, culture, handicrafts, and cuisine.

Hosted at Bikaner House by the Rajasthan Tourism Department and BHAMS, along with the Rajasthan Haat Bazaar and Rajasthan Festival, the event showcased various programs that acquainted both domestic and international visitors with the rich cultural tapestry of the state.

The Rajasthan Festival featured cultural evenings, including grand processions of Gangaur, which captivated the audience with its traditional splendor. Adorned in resplendent Rajasthani attire, women carrying sacred pots added to the spectacle, enhancing the festival’s charm.

Chief Residential Commissioner, Mr. Alok, expressed his desire for events like these to transform Bikaner House into the ‘Gateway of Rajasthan,’ showcasing the state’s art and culture to a wider audience.

Mr. Omprakash from BHAMS highlighted the success of the festival, revealing that over 35 stalls at the Rajasthan Haat Bazaar, featuring national and state award-winning artisans from various regions of Rajasthan, witnessed an unprecedented sale of over 24 lakh, setting a record in itself.

Visitors indulged in shopping for traditional Rajasthani products such as Kota Doria, Sanganeri prints, Bangru prints, Mojdis, Jaipur bangles, jewelry, terracotta items, paintings, among others. Additionally, they savored the delectable Rajasthan cuisine, including specialties like Dal-Bati-Churma, Mirchi Pakora, and other delicious delicacies.

The success of this seven-day Rajasthan Festival, organized through the efforts of BHAMS, culminated in record-breaking sales for artisans, reaffirming the enduring appeal of Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage among connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike.
