Congress can stoop to any level for electoral gains: Anurag Thakur

Kaloha, 22nd April. Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Anurag Singh Thakur, on Sunday said that the Congress can stoop to any level for winning elections. He asked, “how long will the Congress stand with those who strangle our sisters and daughters for their appeasement politics, divide the country, and promote terrorism?”

Thakur said that the country is now aware of their mindset, hence after these Lok Sabha elections, while the Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies will form a government with a full majority of over 400 seats, Congress will be confined to less than 40 seats.

Anurag Thakur made these remarks at the welcome meetings held in Gagret and Kaloha of Himachal Pradesh, where he also participated in the SC Morcha conventions.

Anurag Thakur said, “When North India rejected Rahul Gandhi, he was seeking support from organizations like SDPI and PFI in South India, which promote anti-national and terrorist agendas. The limit was crossed when the entire case of saving a boy who brutally murdered a councilor’s daughter in Karnataka is being covered up because the Congress needs votes from a particular community. How far will this appeasement politics go? They have made a person who chants slogans of breaking India a candidate for Lok Sabha. So where will this mindset of dividing India into pieces go? Congress and its allies protect those who blast bombs and chant slogans in favor of Pakistan. These people can indulge in brokerage deals in defense contracts as well as in the purchase of sports equipment.”

Anurag Thakur further criticized the Congress’s ideology, stating that Congress has always had an anti-India mindset. They have been involved in many scandals in defense deals. Jeep scandal, Agustawestland scandal, Bofors scandal, submarine scandal, are just a few names. Now Congress and its allies are advocating for the elimination of India’s nuclear arsenal, even when there are war-like situations in various parts of the world. In such circumstances, India should be strengthened, but Congress is talking about weakening the country. Their statements align with those foreign individuals who want to weaken India. Jawaharlal Nehru gave away thousands of acres of Indian land to China. During Indira Gandhi’s time, Pakistan occupied Kashmir was created. 90,000 Pakistani soldiers were in our custody, yet nothing was done. In 1974, Katchatheevu Island was given to Sri Lanka. This shows that Congress has always had a mindset of dividing India into pieces.”

Anurag Thakur said, “Modi Ji has given corruption-free governance to India in the last 10 years. We have lifted 250 million people out of poverty. Today, the needy have access to housing, electricity, toilets, water, grains, gas cylinders, and free healthcare. What Congress couldn’t do in 60 years, Modi Ji has done in 10 years. Today, wherever there are opposition governments, all their guarantees have failed. Today, the people of the country trust only Modi’s guarantee because what Modi Ji says, he does. Modi’s guarantee means a guarantee fulfilled. Every moment of Modi’s life is dedicated to the nation and its citizens.”

Anurag Thakur questioned the discomfort faced by the opposition with the saffron color, asking the common people if the saffron color bothers them. The people responded in the negative. He further questioned why the opposition has so much trouble with the saffron color. What is it about the saffron color that bothers Congress and its allies? After all, saffron has the power to unite all Indians, just as the tricolor unites 1.4 billion Indians. Congress does not understand that just as the tricolor has the power to unite 1.4 billion Indians, saffron also has the power to unite all Hindus. After waiting for 500 years, the construction of the Ram Temple has united the entire India. Today, unprecedented development is taking place at all the pilgrimage sites of India, and people are becoming aware.

Anurag Thakur continued by highlighting the development works undertaken in Hamirpur and Himachal Pradesh.

He said, “Development is synonymous with the Bharatiya Janata Party. The work of channelization has been done by the Bharatiya Janata Party. No shortage has been left in the construction of bridges across the region. An ethanol plant worth 500 crores is being built. This will make farmers prosperous and provide cheap petrol to the common man. The Bilaspur-Leh railway line has been built by the Modi government, and work in Bilaspur is progressing rapidly. We have created an alternative route for Nangal Una Kalwada. We have provided schemes to strengthen the farmer’s income, taken important steps for tourism development, and created employment opportunities. Work on the ambitious Una-Hamirpur railway line is also progressing rapidly.”

Anurag Thakur appealed to the people to vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party in large numbers in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections so that development can be accelerated in the state and the country can be strengthened further.

In the welcome meetings, SDM Naresh Kumar, SHO Gagret Brijesh Sood, SC Morcha State President Inderjeet Singh Bindra, District President Rajesh Thakur, and others were present along with the people in large numbers.
