New Delhi,17th August. In a bold move ahead of the Haryana assembly elections scheduled for October 1, Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda pledged to create one lakh jobs within a year if the party forms the government.

Speaking after the Election Commission announced the poll schedule, Hooda, the leader of opposition in the Haryana Assembly, emphasized that the party’s upcoming manifesto would outline a comprehensive five-year plan for governance.

Hooda, a former Haryana chief minister, expressed confidence in the party’s prospects, suggesting that the public is eager for a change from the BJP-led administration.

He promised that the job creation would be merit-based, alongside other key proposals such as a Rs 6,000 monthly pension for the elderly, restoration of the Old Pension Scheme for government employees, subsidized cooking gas, and up to 300 units of free electricity.

“The Congress will implement its promises with full dedication, addressing unemployment, corruption, crime, and drug addiction,” Hooda asserted.

He criticized the current BJP government, claiming that Haryana’s development has stagnated under its leadership, in contrast to the progress made during Congress’s previous tenure.
