Congress Releases 9th List of Candidates for Lok Sabha Elections, Nominates CP Joshi for Rajasthan’s Bhilwara

 The Congress party released its ninth list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on Friday, naming three candidates for Karnataka and two for Rajasthan.

CP Joshi will represent Bhilwara in Rajasthan, while Damodar Gurjar will run from Rajsamand in the same state.

Additionally, E Thukaram will contest from Bellary, Sunil Bose from Chamarajanagar-SC, and Raksha Ramaiah from Chikkballapur in Karnataka.
On Thursday, the Congress released its eighth list of candidates for Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Jharkhand.

In Jharkhand, Kalicharan Munda will run from Khunti, Sukhdeo Bhagat from Lohardaga, and Jai Prakashbhai Patel from Hazaribagh.

For Madhya Pradesh, Rao Yadvendra Singh will face Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Tarvar Singh Lodhi will run from Damoh, and Pratap Bhanu Sharma will contest against former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for the Vidisha Lok Sabha seat.

In Telangana, Athram Suguna will run from Adilabad, Tatiparthi Jeevan Reddy from Nizamad, Neelam Madhu from Medak, and Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy from Bhongir.

Uttar Pradesh will see Dolly Sharma from Ghaziabad, Shivram Valmiki from Bulandshahr, Nakul Dubey from Sitapur, and Virendra Chaudhary from Maharajganj.

Rajasthan has 25 parliamentary constituencies and will vote in two phases. The first phase on April 19 will cover 12 seats, while the second phase on April 26 will include the remaining 13 seats.

The Lok Sabha elections for 543 seats will take place in seven phases starting April 19. Approximately 97 crore voters are eligible to participate.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 303 seats, while the Indian National Congress (INC) secured only 52 seats.
