A day after the BJP swept to power in Uttar Pradesh and three other states, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis declared that UP is only a staging ground, with Maharashtra to follow. In an interview with reporters, the former Maharashtra chief minister stated that the struggle will now be in Mumbai, referring to the upcoming municipal elections. We will not be against any political party, but rather against bribery and corruption, he continued.

Bulldozer Baba’s bulldozer was effective: Fadnavis Fadnavis congratulated Yogi Adityanath on the annihilation of the Samajwadi Party, saying, “Bulldozer Baba’s bulldozer worked.” In response to the Goa election results, he slammed the Shiv Sena, claiming that “Sena” actually stands for “BJP Sena,” not “Shiv Sena.” NOTA is the Shiv Sena’s adversary, not the BJP. In Goa, the NCP and Sena have even less votes than NOTA.

Those who claimed to have deposed Pramod Sawant have lost,” he added.

Meanwhile, Raut questioned the BJP’s performance in Punjab, claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and other party stalwarts campaigned extensively in the state but that the saffron party still lost. “Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Goa were already yours, which is good. However, you have suffered greater losses in Punjab than the Congress and the Shiv Sena in Uttar Pradesh,” he continued. Mayawati and Owaisi are deserving of the Padma Vibhushan and the Bharat Ratna: Raut In response to a question on why Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami was defeated by Khatima, Raut stated that two deputy CMs were defeated in Goa.

Congratulating the BJP on its victory in Uttar Pradesh, he stated that Akhilesh Yadav’s seats grew thrice, from 42 to over 125, and blamed Mayawati and Asaduddin Owaisi for contributing to the BJP’s triumph. The Shiv Sena leader joked that they should be awarded the Padma Vibhushan and the Bharat Ratna. The BJP is expected to form a full majority administration in Goa after winning 20 of the 40 seats in the Goa assembly. The party will form the government with the backing of three independent MLAs and Maharashtrawadi Gomantak, MGP.
