Bhubaneswar, 8th Sept. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi emphasized the benefits of a “double engine” government, referring to the BJP-led administration at both the state and central levels, during a gathering at Barang in Banki assembly segment, Cuttack, on Saturday. He stated that this governance model would drive Odisha toward greater development and prosperity.

“Odisha has a double engine government, which will help the state develop and prosper. It is a people-centric government. Our commitment is to make a new Odisha,” Majhi said, highlighting the BJP’s focus on public welfare.

The chief minister pointed out that one of the new government’s first initiatives was the decision to open all four gates of the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, including the Ratna Bhandar (the temple treasury), as a demonstration of its people-first approach.

Majhi also underscored the BJP’s global presence, calling it the world’s largest party with a unique ideology aimed at developing the country by including everyone in the progress. He encouraged the public to join the BJP, revealing that the party in Odisha aims to increase its membership to 1 crore from the current 41 lakh.

After the event, Majhi had lunch at the house of party worker Kunmum, where he praised the 15-item meal she served, including Pakhal (wet rice).
