EAM Jaishankar Praises Viksit Bharat Ambassador Artist Workshop

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Sunday participated in the Viksit Bharat Ambassador Artist Workshop, held at Purana Qila, and lauded the event for showcasing the nation’s aspirations for a developed India.

Organized by the National Gallery of Modern Art in collaboration with the Lalit Kala Akademi, the workshop aimed to highlight the multifaceted vision of a prosperous India through artistic expression.

Taking to social media platform X, Jaishankar expressed his appreciation for the event, stating, “Stopped by at the #ViksitBharatAmbassador Artist Workshop at Purana Qila today. Commend @ngma_delhiand @LalitKalaLKA for organizing. Pleased to see the various expressions of Viksit Bharat through the medium of art.”

He further noted that the underlying message of the event resonated with the nation’s consensus on #ModiKiGuarantee.

Addressing reporters, Jaishankar emphasized the importance of ensuring that everyone experiences India’s rich diversity. He underscored the government’s efforts to decentralize international events, ensuring their outreach across the nation, as exemplified during the recent G20 summit.

Reflecting on the concept of Viksit Bharat, the Minister outlined its diverse dimensions, including India’s identity as a civilizational state, aspirations for global leadership, and economic prowess, projected to elevate India to the third-largest economy globally.

Jaishankar also commended the signing of the India-EFTA Trade & Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA), characterizing it as a significant milestone in fostering international economic collaboration. During the India-EFTA meeting, he held discussions with counterparts from Liechtenstein and Iceland, exploring avenues for enhanced collaboration in investment and trade.

The agreement with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries, comprising Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, and Liechtenstein, commits to boosting investments in India by USD 100 billion over the next 15 years, aimed at generating one million direct employment opportunities.
