EC Demand Jairam Ramesh’s Reaction to Allegations of “Blatant, Brazen Intimidation” Against Shah

GG News Bureau

New Delhi, 2nd June. The Election Commission asked Congress leader Jairam Ramesh for factual evidence on Sunday on his assertion that Home Minister Amit Shah has summoned 150 district magistrates and collectors in advance of the Lok Sabha election vote counting on June 4.

The poll panel has requested in writing that Ramesh provide specifics of his allegation by June 2 by 7 p.m. in order for them to proceed with further proceedings.

The EC brought up his June 1 post on X, where he asserted that “The departing Home Minister has been contacting DMs and Collectors.” He has spoken with 150 of them thus far. This is obvious intimidation at its most flagrant, demonstrating the desperation of the BJP. To be clear, the people’s will will win out, and on June 4th, the INDIA Janbandhan will triumph and Mr. Modi, Mr. Shah, and the BJP will be forced to resign. Officers are required to respect the Constitution and should not be subjected to coercion. They’re being observed.”
