Education Minister Pradhan Slams Rahul Gandhi After NEET-UG 2024 Verdict

GG News Bureau
New Delhi, 24th July. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision to dismiss the pleas seeking cancellation of the NEET-UG 2024 exam, declaring “Satyameva Jayate” (Truth prevails).

“After this historic judgement of the Supreme Court, I would like to say ‘Satyameva Jayate,'” Pradhan said at a press conference.

The Supreme Court ruled that there was no evidence to suggest the exam was compromised due to systemic breaches of its integrity.

Targeting Rahul Gandhi
Pradhan took the opportunity to slam Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, stating, “The Opposition’s role became clear after today’s Supreme Court judgement. The attitude that the Lok Sabha LoP (Rahul Gandhi) had adopted until yesterday, invalidating the examination system of the country and calling it ‘rubbish,’ proves his mental status. Criticising this, Rahul Gandhi has criticised India.”

The Union Minister accused Gandhi of misleading students, creating confusion, and provoking social unrest as part of his political strategy.

“By rejecting the electoral results in the country, anarchy and civil unrest have become a part of his strategy. I appeal to him and all people of Opposition who were involved in such irresponsible actions that they should apologise to the students, youth, and parents of the country. You have hurt the country, attempted to create anarchy in the country, conspired to have civil unrest in the country,” Pradhan added.

Supreme Court’s Verdict
The Supreme Court, hearing a batch of pleas seeking cancellation and re-test of the NEET-UG 2024 exam, stated there was no evidence of a “systemic breach” of the exam’s sanctity.

This interim verdict, to be followed by a detailed and reasoned order, supports the NDA government and the National Testing Agency (NTA) amid accusations of malpractice, including question paper leaks, fraud, and impersonation in the exam held on May 5.
