The Ministry of Education has launched the third phase of Yuva Sangam, an initiative under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, with a group of 50 students from different parts of Madhya Pradesh traveling to West Bengal for a cultural education tour.

Yuva Sangam aims to promote experiential learning and introduce young people to the diverse culture of our country. It also aims to provide an immersive experience into various aspects of life, development landmarks, architectural and engineering marvels, industrial progress, and recent achievements in the host state, with a focus on connecting people.

During the ongoing phase of Yuva Sangam, exposure tours will be conducted from November to December 2023.

These tours will involve youth, mainly students studying in higher educational institutions (HEIs), as well as young people aged 18-30 from across the nation, traveling to their paired states.

The delegates will have the opportunity to explore five broad areas: tourism, traditions, development, technology, and people-to-people connections in the host states.

Yuva Sangam Phase-III will involve participation from 22 states and union territories, with various higher education institutions paired for the purpose of conducting the exposure tours.

These include Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh-IIT Delhi, IIT Dharwad-IIT Ropar, SPPU Pune-IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad-BHU Varanasi, IIM Trichy-IIIT Kota, IIM Sambalpur-NIT Calicut, IIITDM Jabalpur-IIT Kharagpur, IIIT Ranchi-NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Goa-IIT Bhilai, and IIM Bodhgaya-IIIT Surat.

Following the success of the first two phases of Yuva Sangam, which saw the participation of over 2000 young people, Phase 3 is expected to generate great enthusiasm and vigor.

This phase will continue the mission of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat by the Government of India, aiming to expand the intellectual horizons of young agents of change and sensitize them to the diversity across India.

The goal is to channelize their knowledge for a more connected, empathetic, and technologically advanced India in the future.
