Employment, Health, Education Will Top Focus: BJP’s Candidate from Punhana

GG News Bureau
Chandigarh, 15th Sept. BJP candidate Mohd Aizaz Khan, contesting from the Punhana segment in Haryana’s Nuh district, has vowed to prioritize employment, health, and education if elected. Khan, who faces his cousin and Congress rival Mohd Illyas, expressed confidence that the BJP’s lotus symbol will prevail in the region.

Khan, a law graduate and son of former Haryana minister Chaudhary Sardar Khan, highlighted his father’s legacy of providing jobs to nearly 4,600 youth from the Mewat region. He emphasized his commitment to continuing this legacy by bringing a university to the region, improving infrastructure, and fulfilling his father’s vision.

“The BJP government has provided thousands of jobs purely on merit and ended the ‘parchi, kharchi’ system,” Khan told PTI. “I am confident that the lotus will bloom here due to the tremendous support I am receiving.”

Khan is one of two Muslim candidates fielded by the BJP in Haryana, with Naseem Ahmed, a former MLA, contesting from Ferozepur Jhirkha. Ahmed, who previously switched from the INLD to the BJP, and Khan, who joined the BJP from Congress five years ago, are both vying for support in Muslim-majority constituencies.

The Congress has fielded sitting MLAs Mohd Illyas and Mamman Khan from Punhana and Ferozepur Jhirkha, respectively.

Regarding last year’s Nuh riots, Khan assured that peace and brotherhood prevail. Supporters of Naseem Ahmed in Ferozepur Jhirkha remain hopeful about his victory, with one supporter expressing confidence: “Inshallah, Naseem bhai is going to win this time.”
