Ensuring the Security of Indians is Our Top Priority: PM Modi Amid Global Tensions

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that if the BJP-led NDA is elected for a third term, their main focus will be on securing the lives of Indian citizens in conflict zones, especially in the midst of rising tensions in West Asia.

During the launch of the BJP’s manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi highlighted the importance of having a strong majority to address global challenges and rescue distressed Indian nationals from conflict areas through decisive actions.

Speaking at the BJP’s national headquarters in Delhi, PM Modi expressed concerns about the possibility of war in various parts of the world and stressed the need to prioritize the safety and security of Indian citizens in such uncertain times.

PM Modi emphasized the importance of having a stable government with a majority to strengthen the country economically and make progress towards the goal of a developed India. He assured that the BJP is committed to achieving this if re-elected.

PM Modi’s comments are significant in light of conflicts between Russia and Ukraine, as well as the Israeli offensive against Hamas in Gaza. The BJP-led NDA has previously demonstrated its commitment to rescuing distressed Indians from conflict zones through operations like Operation Ganga and Operation Ajay.

Operation Ganga successfully evacuated around 25,000 Indian nationals and citizens of other countries from Ukraine, while Operation Ajay rescued Indian citizens from Israel during the conflict with Hamas. Additionally, the Indian Air Force conducted daring rescue missions in Sudan and Afghanistan to bring back stranded Indians.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also praised the government’s efforts to ensure the safety of Indians abroad through various operations, including Operation Ganga, Kaveri, Ajay, and the Vande Bharat mission during the Covid-19 pandemic.

PM Modi also highlighted India’s role in representing developing nations on the global stage, amplifying the voice of the Global South.
