Washington, 25th March. Former Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti was sworn in as the United States Ambassador to India by Vice President Kamala Harris on Friday during a ceremony here.
The US Senate confirmed Garcetti’s nomination earlier this month, ending a two-year search for a replacement for the key diplomatic position.
When asked about his new diplomatic assignment, Garcetti said, “I can’t wait to serve.”
